In her  Xmas column (hit link to the left to see the full message) Landra appeals to people not to be tempted by the advertisements and buy enormous amounts of food that they cannot eat.

We wonder how many people will this Xmas, once again, buy too much food.

We hate waste when children are shown going hungry.

What makes us think we have the right to over indulge while others go without? Who makes us detach the hungry in our minds from our own situation? Is it us being selfish or is it outside influence?

A question for Christmas.
