Blogs puts everyone in the picture

Blogs serve a purpose

by John Phillip

Like him or not, Boris Johnson (left) the Mayor London, keeps everyone informed of what is happening in his domain with his internet blog.  Info coming direct from the horses mouth, so to speak, has a greater impact than press/media reports - and it gives the feeling of confidence and closeness.

It was therefore no surprise when BoJo, as he is called by a section of the media, was included in the new website: "Just Blogs".   To use his initials (BJ) would perhaps be inappropriate in view of their use on certain adult websites.

It is a great pity that no councillor on NPT council doesn't write a blog to inform residents of council activities.  No-one seems to know what is happening with the proposed naming of Nelson Mandela Way let alone more important things like the foul smells in the town centre.

From what readers of this website write, they feel that they are being given the mushroom treatment - kept in the dark.

I suspect that the editor of this website felt that Cllr David Lewis may have had a flair for writing a blog - but that is another story and water under the bridge - pity!

However, it is noted that the NPT Council media department has sent in a news release on street lighting.  Good - more of this is wanted.

As far as blogs go, here in Neath we have 'Just Stan' - whose blog is worth reading and is now included in the developing 'Just Blogs' website.

This weekend we are told that Stan is looking at how our Neath MP is costing the tax player £250K - and that's just for one year!  Now this should be an eye opener!

JUST BLOGS and JUST STAN are in the menu.
