South Wales Evening Post highlight Neath problem
VAGRANTS are blighting Neath town centre, causing shoppers to go elsewhere, traders are claiming.
Council bosses have agreed there is a problem when they joined business owners at the town's Chamber of Trade monthly meeting. They said they had now upped security in certain areas and also spoken to police.
Traders said there are issues with people urinating and sleeping in lifts at the Milland Road car park and drinking while sitting on benches in the town.
David Griffiths, head of transport and engineering at Neath Port Talbot Council, said he had been to check on the car park after hearing about concerns about a particular group of people causing trouble there.
