Ladbrokes closing at Waunceirch

Due to lack of business, the Ladbrokes betting shop at Waunceirch (pictured right) is calling it a day, according to a neighbouring business owner.

The name Ladbrokes is synonymous with betting and gaming: the hallmark of a leading betting brand. Ladbrokes is a market leader in retail bookmaking in the UK, Ireland, Belgium and Spain where it operates a combined total of more than 2,800 betting shops. In addition to its extensive retail presence Ladbrokes offers thousands of betting markets on a daily basis via the Internet, mobile and telephone.

It is likely that the closure of the Waunceirch shop is yet another victim of the Internet where is it so easy make a bet from your own home.

The shutters were down at the shop at the time of this report and no-one from the firm was available to comment.
