Reader compares Spanish Civil War freedom fighters with what is happening today

In an outspoken letter, a reader compares what has happened in the past when British citizens have gone abroad to fight for a cause, with what is happening today with the British Muslim lads from Cardiff.

The reader refers to the memorial stone in Neath' Victoria Gardens and offers some provoking thoughts.

The way to stop all wars, or at least limit them, is to stop supplying arms to both sides.   Unfortunately, huge profits are made from selling armaments and weapons of war and again its a matter of greed by mankind.   In fact, it would be an eye-opener to know who has invested in the armament industry - we feel sure that one of our investigative reporters will be tempted to find out.   In the meantime readers can express their views on our letters page.
