£1m+ offer for GWR - Guardian Websites Resources

The offer by an international publishing firm for the Neath Guardian website group is yet to be confirmed.   Interest has been shown in the number of hits the websites are getting on a world wide basis - especially by Welsh exiles abroad.   Behind the offer is the tremendous advertising potential.  A spokesman for the firm said that the aim was to acquire local news websites that would give access to readers at grass-root level and have them as a source of 'news feeders' for their national newspapers.
