Immigrant workers show us up

Can immigrants do a better job cleaning our streets?

By Morty George

A letter on the readers' letters page suggests that immigrant workers could do a better job cleaning our streets, if our local car washes are anything to go by.

It has been suggested from several sources that some of our council workers appear to have a chip on their shoulder the way they chuck the food bins to the floor after empting them.   The attitude and willingness to work is often more noticable with immigrant workers who would appear to appreciate having a job more than some we could mention.

Let the reader's letter be a warning of what is yet to come if attitudes don't change.  This is said is good faith from someone looking from the outside in to those who have no thought for the future.
