Nine libraries to close in NPT?

A reader writes about libraries closing in NPT and wonders if it will result in a reduction in managers?   The same reader also asks if Peter Hain MP is aware of these closures as it effectively means less shelves to hold his books!

It is rather sad to note that some of these libraries survived the war years and some hard times in the past but now have to close due to the financial climate.

With the development of IT., the closing of the libraries are a big blow for those who need their services.   Perhaps community centres could offer a service in their place?  Having said this, Blaenhonddan community centres have yet to have WiFi / broadband installed.   This means the hiring of their centres to potential users is somewhat restricted.

Lack of thought at this time could certainly affect the quality of our lives  for many years to come.
