A memory note. The car pictured above covers the ground on which cinema-goers queued for tickets to see films at the Empire in the 1950's - the days before television.
+ Queues, like the one on the right were often seen outside the Empire Cinema in the 1950's. Has any reader got photo's of queues like these at the Empire? Many would like to look back in time when the cinema was the main form of evening entertainment long before we had television in our homes.
