Victorian Festival starts this weekend
Alas - its not in Neath where we have the Victoria Gardens and the Victorian Market, under cover since Victorian times. The festival highlighted above is the annual one at Llandrindod Wells in the heart of Wales. This is where all the town folk dress up and all the shops take on a new look for a full week.

After the tremendous success of the Vintage Car Show at the Gnoll grounds last week, the organisers should think about a Victorian Festival - maybe a weekend to see how it goes?
A full report of the Vintage Car Show will appear in next weeks NEATH GUARDIAN website.
Neath September Street Fair
Here in Neath, in September, we have the annual street fair. Let's hope the council will brighten up this event with flags, bunting and lights - this could be made an extra special event now that Neath is being geared into providing more open air entertainment.
