A call for the pied piper?

Our heading refers to the Pied Piper. The story may reflect a historical event in which Hamelin lost its children. Theories have been proposed suggesting that the Pied Piper is a symbol of the children's death by plague or catastrophe.  It is a fact that rats carry disease and have no control over their bladder leaving a trail of their urine over the area they cover, which can cause Weil's disease.

Weil’s disease is a form of a bacterial infection also known as Leptospirosis that is carried by animals, most commonly in rats.  It can be caught by humans through contact with rat or cattle urine, most commonly occurring through contaminated fresh water.   This information will hopefully prompt readers to ask their councillor if there has been any cut backs with rodent control.
