Also in next week's edition: 'Black Gold' - the story of the Cefn Coed Colliery - now a museum run by our council.  A great place to visit during the school holidays - and the admission is free.

This coal mine was one of the deepest in the county and so many miners got killed during its working life it was nick-named "The Slaughter House'.

The feature includes a video show by Mike Davies.

This museum is a credit to our council and we hope it will not suffer during the current round of financial cutbacks.
