Heritage Scene to help council

Neath's Heritage Scene to help the council

It is likely that grants obtained by the independently run Heritage Scene-Neath can benefit the council.

It is possible for the Heritage Scene-Neath group to obtain grants from the National Lottery Heritage Fund that are not available to the council as a local authority.    In addition to this, the European Community may be able to offer funding on the basis that the heritage project will help the local economy.

However, it is acknowledged that the council and their administrators are in a position to give guidance on something that will ultimately benefit the heritage buldings they currently look after.

The Heritage Scene-Neath is a group of experienced administors and local historian's who give their services free on a not for profit basis.   The aim is to form a registered charity at an appropriate time in order to benefit from tax exemptions from the millions of pounds that the group can accumulate to benefit the community.
