A mother writes in about car parking spaces
A mother has written in with a plea for motorists not to occupy spaces for 'Parent & Child' - usually found at supermarkets. The mother writes that often the spaces are taken by the over 60 age group and states that is often difficult to handle a push chair or pram in addition to a child or two.
The 'Parent & Child' spaces allow extra space for car doors to be opened wider. A little thought for mothers would be greatly appreciated.
Additional Comment
Another reader has mentioned his annoyance about fit and healthy people using disabled car spaces - often with disabled cards belonging to an elderly relative who is not with them. And there are those who should know better - see item on right.
More care and consideration should be given to those in need. Yet another reader adds that those responsible will be old and needy themselves one day!
