Wanted - a Royal Mail Collection Box on the top of a hill

Residents at Waunceirch, South Bryncoch have to walk a steep hill when posting a letter.   Hundreds of new houses have been built in the Rhiwlas and Fernlea Park area of South Bryncoch - and all on top of a hill with no mail collection box.

Tesco's head office and the Post Office have now been approached for a Royal Mail collection box at the Waunceirch Tesco Express store.  A new post box would also serve the need by the new shops adjacent to the Tesco store.    Close by is the Waunceirch Community Centre and the Waunceirch Junior Primary School - all adding up to an area with the need of mail collection box.

Most Tesco stores have Royal Mail collection boxes, which adds to their sales policy of  'Every little helps'  - with this in mind residents are hoping for positive results.

LATE EXTRA  --- Going by our Readers Letters page, it seems that new housing developments are not being considered by the Royal Mail.  A study should be done of the coverage by collection boxes.   Many think they should be positioned near community centres, schools and shops - the places that people often visit.
