Every picture tells a story - the finished job?

What are those yellow arrows pointing to?   Looks likes ruts to us.   Hardly faulty installation - or is it?     Perhaps these photos will benefit the council in the event of further problems.   The surface has yet to pass the test of time - and the heavy loads that go around it.

NOTE ... The above roundabout is the one going into Neath (a hundred yards from the Pen-y-wern roundbout) which was resurfaced at the same time.
