Tourist area - is this a joke?
A reader writes.....
Aberdulais barriers - what an eyesore! This is supposed to be a tourist area. As tourists cross the road from Aberdulais falls to Aberdulais under the by-pass, the steps leading to it need cleaning and the underpass itself is a disgrace because it needs a refreshing coat of paint. The lights either need replacing or cleaned as they have some fabulous cobwebs on them, it has not been cleaned to our knowledge since it was built.
Then the Aberdulais weir the bridge needs to be power washed and that barrier taken down, We have never seen a barrier like that anywhere, besides it does not fit in with the history of the location and looks totally out of place. Something must be done before NPT CBC becomes a laughing stock. Weeds in the town and now this in a so called tourist area.

The councillor for the area is pictured right. We feel sure that she will not be happy with this reader's report and will endevour to get things done without delay.
This will certainly be a test to see how effective a county borough councillor can be. We have asked the reader concerned to give us feedback on the matter so we can report it here and compliment her actions.
The bridges of Aberdulais are mentioned in record books - there are more bridges there for its size than other part of the UK - and is an area the NPT CBC should be very proud of.
