Put Neath on the map

Buy the Valley Railway Line and run steam trains!

Now no longer used (as far as we know - can anyone tell us?) this railway would make a great tourist attraction for Neath and the valley's.  What do our readers' think?

Maybe someone seeing the programme on BBC TV on how it can be done may be inspired to do just this!

Maybe British Rail, Rail Track, or what ever they call it now, will be glad to get it off its hands.

It should be noted that this line was in active use when the Tower Coal Mine was in production.  It is not clear if is now used on a commercial basis.

Afan Valley
Part of the old Rhondda and Swansea railway line running from Aberavon to the top of the valley, would have been a great way for visitors to see the beautiful Afan Valley with breathtaking views that local residents take for granted.   Sadly the line has been removed and is now only a memory.
