Cinema Museum In Wales

Chris Plaister has written to us saying that he is heading a major cinema museum project within the former Odeon Newport.  Chris says they have a very large collection of memorabilia and that it will be the first ever cinema museum in Wales.

As far as Neath is concerned, it is interesting to note that a booklet has been written entitled: 'Ninety Years of Cinemas in Neath' and this can be viewed at Neath Library.

The Empire Neath could have certainly been considered for a cinema museum and it would have been very fitting for the fact that one of Hollywoods greatest stars, Ray Milland, who was born in Neath and went to the Gnoll School.
