Town's weeds to be featured in novel?

News of new novel

No link with branded drink

A famous Neath authoress, who wants her name with-held for the time being, intends to write a novel about weeds and how it caused a problem with a love affair.

The work of fiction has been inspired by the large number of weeds growing on the streets in Neath.   The exciting story line, which includes a drink made from them, is expected to produce bigger sales than the current present best seller: Forty Shades of Grey by E L James.  Our inside informer suggests that the novel could lead to a television series and even film rights.

We have to say that there is no connection with a branded drink found in a Neath supermarket earlier this week.  We must apologise for any likely confusion over this.

In the event of a film being made, it will be essential to have location scenes and we may be asked if the weed pictures sent in by our enthusiastic readers can be illustrated. So keep sending in the weed pictures.   Such a novel would certainly help to put Neath on the map.

It is therefore rather ironical that there is at least one person who hopes the weed situation will not change in the immediate future as location shots are essential to the story line.
