Report on a possible Empire Ghost

with unexplained photos  - now details of a tragic accident

The press have taken up this story when it became known that a workman was killed whist the Empire was being built.   Details were revealed by someone connected with the firm building the cinema in 1925 - before The Neath Guardian newspaper was published - hence little is known about the occurance.  
The tragic accident happened in 1925 when one of the workmen fell from the roof of the building on to some lighting fittings on the floor below and was instantly killed.

Details of a visit to the cinema, and some very unusual photographs appear on the Empire's website - a website made to preserve the memory of Neath's most loved entertainment centre.

Members of a local Heritage Group are pressing the BBC to make a documentary about this building which is costing more to demolish than what it would have cost to refurbish it for use as a community / youth centre.
