The year that the Neath Guardian newspaper was first published was the same year as the Empire Cinema was being built - that was 1925 - it was opened in 1926.    Now Neath is losing another link with the past - and it seems that the council and no-one in authority cares.    What a crying shame!

It appears that the start of the demolition was delayed until after the local elections took place on 3rd May 2012.   We promise to remind everyone in five year's time about all this - the time of the next local elections!

This issue will never go away and will never be forgotten!
