Roman Way Road Hazard

Work now in progress on the route of the Olympic Flame

Following the concern by the readers who have written to us about the road alteration and hazard at Roman Way, we wrote to the two councillors covering the area, Cllr Janice Dudley and Cllr Rob James.

After a few phone calls to the highways department, Cllr Dudley immediately got back to us and said that work would on the project would be done TODAY - almost an instant response.

The Olympic Fame will be passing the spot on the afternoon of Saturday, 26th May.

FOLLOW UP.....  The road markings at Roman Way were completed in time for the passage of the Olympic Flame.   We now await feedback on the results.  We ask the question:  Has an improvement been made?
