A challenge for young Labour?

Will party line gag new councillors?

A reader has written in to basically challenge the young Labour candidates and asks what is more important to them: their integrity or the party line?

It has been seen all too often in the past, councillors have agreed with an opposition viewpoint - but when it comes to voting they vote like sheep with their party, often following the hand of their leader.   And this applies to not just one party - it is party politics at its worst, where the party is put before the people who voted for them.

This seems a key question that must be answered.   If integrity comes first, as it should, and if they agree with this, then they will be watched closely if they are elected.  In fact, all candidates will be monitored for their integrity says a Neath Ferret reporter.
