Work starts on Neath Castle

The reader who wrote to us and mentioned the Neath Castle will be pleased to know work has started to preserve the stone work.   Another reader remembers that when she was a little girl it was possible to walk into the castle grounds to a grassed garden area with seats around it.  Let's hope the finished job will provide similar facilities that Neath residents will be proud of.   May it also attract many visitors to our Roman town.

The castle and the surrounding area, including the adjacent Round House Coffee Shop is under the care of the Neath Town Council.
