Swop parties and get a reward!

A reader writes about two elected councillors who swopped to Labour at the last minute after the last election and got a reward.  Should this sort of thing be allowed to happen?

We understand that more dirty washing is about to be exposed.   Is it right to hang this on the line.   We think it only fair that everyone should be reminded about what has happened over the last four years - no matter what political party is involved.   This website intends to do just that, because voters must be aware of 'jobs for the boys' and all that has gone on.   It may (just may) keep future councillors on their toes and we may get cleaner washing on the line!
