Gwyn Hall Officials Disappointed

A confidential source reveals that senior officials at the Gwyn Hall were disappointed because they were unable to get Katherine Jenkins, Neath's famous star singer, to be present at the opening ceremony of the refurbished building on 8th March 2012.

Some officials thought sure that Katherine would have made a special effort to attend from her busy schedule.  It has been previously reported that Katherine made a generous contribution to the rebuilding - the exact figure in not known.

It is uncertain if a portrait of Katherine will be displayed in the Gwyn Hall.  A wall of fame should add to the attractiveness of the building - including stars, like Ray Milland, who were born in Neath.
