Where we stand for the council elections

Whilst we do NOT advocate active political material from candidates leading up to the May election, leaving it all to the Bryncoch South website, where every candidate has the benefit of his/her own page, we can see no reason why our readers cannot express their views as Mr Tilley has done on our Reader Letters page.   We just hope that we will get some balanced views to keep the activity going.   After all, this is a discussion website where readers raise the issues on what is happening around them.

This does not stop candidates giving us news - as one candidate has done on the opening night of the Gwyn Hall.  In actual fact it is a link to the candidate's website, which is hardly a political one with all things considered.

We just hope that our reader's letters will continue to be sensible and contructive so that they can be published in good faith.

FOOTNOTE   We have received letters from several potential candidates from
all parties but we have NOT printed them as we wish to avoid being a political platform.   However, we would be pleased to receive non-political news from them.

A list of candidates who have written to us will be published in due course. It is suggested these candidates have shown their care for the community by writing to us.
