 WARNING to dog owners

Dog watch now starting

Do you know what your dog is doing behind your back?  Look around and see before a dog ranger spots it!

Dog owners are warned that they can be fined up to £1,000 for letting their dog foul public areas and doing nothing about it.

NPT dog rangers have been instructed to take action against dog owners who do not dispose dog crap as they now should under local by-laws.

To avoid being named and shamed, in addtion to being fined, dog owners are urged to act responsibly - and in the interests of young children and the public at large.

Find a bin to put it in  - the crap, not the dog!

Attention school teachers    Please make the children in your class aware of the dangers of dog crap.   Many have pets and take them for walks.   The parents of children could be held responsible for irresponsible behaviour.

Send us your photos.   If your mobile phone has a camera, you are invited to take a photo of a dog fouling and no effort being made to clear it up.   We can then attempt to trace the owner with the help of a dog ranger.    Maybe we will consider publishing the photograph?
