Rubbish Skip went to wrong location!

Many residents were disappointed to find no rubbish skip at the Tesco Express Car Park on Wednesday, 10th August, as posted on this website.    The organisers wish to apologise for the mix up and failing to check the notice we published.   The skip went to the Caewern Post Office shopping area instead.

Sadly the good intentions of the organisers mis-fired and this is highlighted in the following letter being sent to us:-

"Shouldn't have bothered and taken my rubbish straight to Giant's Grave.  Got to Tesco at 12.20 - no sign of skip!  Perhaps it filled up and was taken away in that 20 minute slot!!
Can I suggest typical public sector inefficiency again - no doubt Peter Hain would blame the cutbacks!"

We appreciate this feed back and have sent an email copy to those concerned - in case they again fail to check our news page.

As we said, it was a case of good intentions going haywire. We are so sorry this happened.

NOTE   It must be revealed that when the error was realised, a councillor went to the Tesco Express Car Park to advise anyone there.  The councillor obviously missed the writer of the above letter - but an effort was made.
