Ambulance confusion

Ambulance goes to wrong Waunceirch Centre

When sending for an ambulance to deal with a serious epileptic seizure during a Karate class at the former Owain Glyndwr Community centre on 39th June, the ambulance crew went to the wrong destination.   This is because the Labour controlled Community Council had changed the name of the building to the Waunceirch Community Centre despite the fact that there is another older building with a similar name near by.

All residents in the area are up in arms about the change of name and this emergency call mix-up is an example of what could happen again - next time it could be someone with a heart attack.   In the event of a possible fatality arising from this, it is open to question as to whether the councillors who voted for the change of name will take the blame.
