Telephone Scam? 

We have had a report of a possible scam call from someone claiming to be from the Post office offering money savings by switching your telephone service from BT to the Post Office.

They asked for numerous pieces of personal information but the recipient became suspicious when they asked for bank details. She questioned their legitimacy and was given a telephone number to call back – 08000275909 – but this number simply rings once then switches to background music.

The call was reported to 101 but you may wish to share this info with others.
