Concern about councillors

 Where are the Community Councillors?

This was a question asked at the PACT meeting held at the Bryncoch Community Centre on 12th May 2011.   Out of five community councillors representing North Bryncoch only one (Gareth Morgan) was present.   It was stated that PACT meetings were more beneficial than the official monthly council meetings where residents are not allowed to speak.   At PACT meetings residents can speak to councillors and get a positive response.

Residents present expressed their concern as to why a grant to provide facilities at the venue for youngsters was turned down by Blaenhonddan Community Council.   A special meeting was called for to discuss the matter.

Concern over the Police telephone No: 101 being continually engaged was another matter for concern.   A resident suggested an answering service where the caller could leave his telephone number to be called back by the Police.

The next PACT meeting for the Bryncoch area is scheduled for 25th July 2011 at the Owain Glyndwr Waunceirch Community Centre at the usual time of 6:30pm.
