Concern over Waunceirch Shops
It is feared that the Waunceirch shops (artistes view above) including the Tesco Express store, will be a magnet for unsocial youngsters in the forthcoming daylight evenings.
Many residents say that Tesco should not sell alcohol after 9:00pm. It is alleged that some adults are buying alcoholic drinks for underage youths. One resident at a recent community meeting questioned the need for Tesco to remain open after 10:00pm.
The closing time of the following premises must be compared - some uniformity is surely called for?
- Owain Glyndwr Community Centre - 9:00pm
- Piper's Fish Bar.............. 10:00pm
- Tesco Express.................11:00pm
Another resident stated that Police patrols with dogs could be the solution for bad behaviour by youths who have no respect for the community.
