Freedom of Information Complaint
A resident has registered a complaint with the Neath Port Talbot CB Council.
The resident writes as follows:-
A Freedom of Information Request forwarded to NPT CBC on November 18th 2010 which was replied to on January 18th 2011. It was difficult to get an acknowledgement of this request and it took nearly double the 20 days allowed by the FOI Act for refusal of the requested information to be given.
A Freedom of Information Request forwarded to NPT CBC on February 2nd 2011 and acknowledged by Mr. Graham Jones on that date has still not been replied to on March 8th 2011. This is 25 days after the request and outside the 20 days stipulated by the Act for a reply. It appears that NPT CBC continues to regard the Freedom of Information Act as an Act which it does not have to adhere to and I am very disappointed at this stance.
I would be very grateful of a release of the information requested and a substantive reply regarding the constant failure of your authority to adhere to the Freedom of Information Act.
