PACT Meeting Report

 PACT meeting compliment

A Bryncoch resident complimented community councillors by saying it was nice to see them at the PACT meeting held at the Owain Glyndwr Waunceirch Community Centre on 7th March.

A follow up on the Centre's vandalised sign was requested for residents to be aware of the situation.

Residents expressed their concern about a forthcoming 64 seater restaurant (including an alcohol licence application) coming next to Piper's Fish Bar and the parking problems that are likely to occur.

The PCSO's were praised for their work in the community and their involvement with youth activities.

On an environmental issue, it was stated the importance of keeping the area tidy and picking up litter.   The actions of those creating litter should not be ignored and penalties should be applied where appropriate.

Generally the meeting had a positive feel about it and it seems that PACT meetings can be developed to enable the community to work together - which, of course, is their aim.
It was refreshing to see no hint of party politics - the way the community should be run.

Piper's Fish Bar Vandalised

It was reported that the Piper's Fish Bar was broken into in the early hours of 7th March and a charity box was stolen.   The matter is being looked into.   Anyone with information about this should ring the Police on Tel. No. 101
