Another nail in community coffin!

Yet Another Community Councillor Resigns!

At the January meeting of Blaenhonddan Community Council yet another notice of resignation was handed in.  For the last three months there have have been one a month.   The first was Mike Richards (Labour) the second was Tony Wyin-Jones (Plaid Cymru) and last one was Mike Teague (Labour).

There were three candidates trying for Mike Richards seat, two from the South Ward - one was Plaid, another was an Independent and also a lady from Cadoxton who was Labour. Guess who got it? Yes, Labour!

One must ask if this is a democratic way of residents representing the community?   One would have thought that there would have been an effort towards getting some balance  on the council.   Again we ask readers to draw their own conclusion.

Our view is that party politics should not enter into community affairs because of the steam roller attitude of following the party line and voting by following the leader, like a flock of sheep.
