 Councillor holds surgery in car!

Cllr.Janice Dudley was forced to hold her monthly surgery in her car outside the locked gates  of the Owain Glyndwr Community Centre on the first Saturday of the month in December.

This was because the centre was not opened up for her, although it was a regular booking.   Cllr. Dudley said she was very disappointed  but was determined to be there as scheduled.

Normally Cllr.Dudley (Plaid Cymru) pays £11 out of her own pocket to hire a room at the centre, despite the fact that the purpose is to help all residents no matter what their political beliefs may be.

It is not known if a Labour councillor in another area of Blaenhonddan is paying (or is charged) for the hire of the council's centre she uses.   No doubt someone will tell us about this?

The Autumn newsletter of Cllr.Dudley and Cllr.Tony Wyn-Jones has now been printed. We picked our copy up from Piper's Fish Bar near the Tesco Express Store at Waunceirch. This is a non-political publication printed totally in English and contains some useful information and contact telephone numbers.

Our view is that printing something in Welsh in an English speaking area is a total waste of paper and money - especially in the current financial climate.   We would like your views on this.

FUTURE MEETINGS   Cllr.Dudley's next scheduled surgery/forum is at the Owain Glyndwr Community Centre on Saturday, 8th January 2011 10:00am to 11:30am and thereafter on the first Saturday of every month.

NEXT PACT MEETING  Bryncoch Community Centre, Thursday, 20th January 2011 at 6:30pm
