Pride ar Duffryn-Clydach

Pride with clean up at Duffryn
Clydach

In addition to the organised rubbish skips previously reported, Duffryn Clydach councillors are working closely with 'Keep Wales Tidy' and have given a 'liitter picker' (pictured left) to enthusiastic residents who want to keep the council's patch tidy.

It is something similar to what the Bryncoch Environment Group are doing - except that what is being done at Duffryn Clydach is organised by the council and covers a larger area.

It has been reported that the residents taking part in the venture look across boundaries to areas covered by other community councils and see the difference with great pride.

Rubbish skips at Duffryn Clydach continue to be placed at different locations once each month.   Gone are the days of the 'Rag and Bone' man (right) and this seems to be the alternative means of collecting junk by progressive community councils.
