Organised Rubbish

Rubbish Success at Dyffryn Clydach

The progressive community council at Dyffryn Clydach have organised a series of rubbish skips to be positioned at various areas for residents to get rid of unwanted items that have accumulated in their garages and lofts.

The venture has been a big success with many of the skips being filled within 20 minutes of being put in position.

Often one person's bit of rubbish is  treasure for another. The bins are left in position for a short period which enables the contents to be viewed and taken (if wanted) by collectors.

A similar facility was organised at Cilfrew sometime ago, which also proved to be beneficial for residents.    We would like to see organised skips provided in other areas.   Gone are the days of the Rag and Bone man - so let's move forward and help to prevent fly tipping by providing short term skips.
