The meeting at the Longford Memorial Hall on Thursday, 28th October 2010  advised  residents about their entitled benefits.    In addition to this, advice was given on home safety and security, including fire alarms.

Advice was given on keeping areas tidy as rubbish encourages more rubbish.   It was stated that there is no need for fly tipping when the council provides a free collection service on request for larger items. 

Many free beneficial items (pens, stickers, bells and purse security cords)  were available for those attending the meeting.
