Telephone charge to call your Doctor
We recently reported that a local resident was charged almost £5 over a quarterly period for making calls to his local surgery.
As a result of this we contacted the manager of the Neath Castle Surgery who told us that their 0844 number should be free as it is part of the National Health Service. However, he said the matter is up to the discretion of the telephone service provider. The manager added that anyone charged for these calls should advise their telephone service provider that the relevant number relates to the National Health Service.
We are still not happy about this and think that some positive action should be taken with this matter.
