KL - Hawaiian do!

Just getting around to adding a piece about the Kinlochleven bash two weekends ago.

It was well attended by Scottish Branch members and 2 of those who are from the Highland area. Andy from Rhynie on his Spada and MF on the 1100 Sporti. The weekend weather was fair on the west after some dreadful rain on the east. After fuelling up at Cille Chumein, aka Fort Augustus, which was thronged by Japs or Chinese (I find it hard to tell them apart) the roads dried out and apart from some leaf fall the roads were ok. Arrival meant drink and then a bath in the MacDonald Hotel before donning the SHIRT! Food and drink and crack ensued into the small hours and for those of terpsichorean tendency there was dance floor jostling. I retired early as the usual dry eyes from driving with the visor up in the mist earlier meant I needed to rest them. Apparently the talk turned to ambitious trips to Africa and the like. Good luck with that notion. I find bureaucracy in the UK enough to deal with and paying off Johnny foreigner officials is not in my nature so it's Highland roads for me for the foreseeable future. Pictures of the event can be found on the main forum.

Roll on the spring and more of the same.
