Events 2023 - planned...

Reason for deferral:

Have rather a lot on my plate around this time and the Garvault booking system indicates full, but this may be operator error. I had considered the Borgie Hotel however Im minded to cancel this event and maybe do it in May next year when there is no alt-Raduno so our visitors from the south can experience early summer in the very north of Scotland. It will also give more time to explore the Garvault availability and / or alternatives.

Remote, off grid, quirky, and based slap bang in the centre of lovely nothingness but has some seriously fab touring sections around it. This venue required to be confirmed!

Booking of accommodation will be to your own account. Visit planned in the next week or two and more detail will be forthcoming on the group website thereafter. Three routes already planned which will be shared with those attending nearer the time.

Note 2: The entry form for this event has been submitted and as the event is pretty largely full only day visitors / exhibitors can be accommodated. However feel free to make your own entry. Glamis Jully 7/8/9 page on this site.

Note 3: The Cullen skink run in ’22 was a success and will be repeated in ’23. Hopefully the Rockpool in Cullen will be the venue once more.

Note 4: The Morayvia museum is an excellent place to be extra nerdy with all things aeronautical. It requires a good few hours to do it justice hence a relatively good part of the morning being given over to it. In the afternoon, after lunch a wee run around the roads to the south of Forres wouldn’t go amiss. Lunch stop tba

Note 5: The same band and hall / camping area have been provisionally booked. Due to inflationary pressures the cost may become excessive. In a month or so cost estimates will be built for the original venue of the 2021 however there are others, contingencies, to explore. Bookings will be taken from late January. The last one was great fun and moving forward a week may give less of the early equinoctial weather.

This is camping weekend with very much a d.i.y. ethos for food and drink, however; if numbers attending warrant it then outside catering / bar facilities may be cobbled on.

The ubiquitous Scottish Rally will be held at Linlithgow RFC on the May bank holiday.

The Pennine Branch hold their rally at Skipton RFC on the weekend of June 23 to 25th
