2024 Events

Contact motoguzzihighland@gmail.com for further info on these events; apart from the Scottish rally.

April 28th - Lunchtime meet (12:30) at Sidings Cafe just north of Dufftown.

Meet for lunch at the Sidings Cafe at Dufftown. Cafe is in railway carriages adjacent to the Dufftown - Keith heritage railway station.

May 3rd - 5th 2024 - Scottish rally - Linlithgow.

The 2024 Scottish Rally will be held at Linlithgow Rugby Club EH49 6DB in the historic town of Linlithgow, about 20 miles West of Edinburgh in Central Scotland which is ideally located for exploring the fantastic motorcycling roads we have in this part of the world.

Check this link for further updates. Note this is run by the Scottish Branch, not the mg-h so enquiries should be directed via the link.

The Rally starts on Friday 3 May and finishes on Sunday 5 May, (departure by midday Sunday).

May 31st - 2nd June - Camping weekend.

A weekend of motorcycling in the Angus glens, visits to the Montrose Air Museum (excellent!), a curry on Saturday night with fish and chips for lunch at various fine restaurants along the coast. If you haven't spent time in this area then you really have wasted your breath. Camping or B&B are available in the town.
Strawberry teas at Charleton Farm are not to be missed!
Oh and a visit to the Bambse statue is worth while too. Great story, great dawg.

July 12/13/14th - Glamis weekend - see separate tab for details.

July 28th - Cullen skink lunch - Cullen

The annual supping of killed then smoked haddock steeped in milk, added to soft boiled tatties and fried onions, with a hint of double cream, some parsley or chives, along with a fair sized divot of bread at a restaurant in Cullen. The Rockpool restaurant is small - so numbers are restricted. First come first served. Always a popular event. They cater for the non-skinkers too!

August 18th - Huntly ride out and Grampian Transport Museum visit.

Meet at Huntly (Deans) at 11:30, for a dead pig and chicken embryo roll and mug of coffee, or even a bit of shortbread, then head over the Suie to Alford to visit the Grampian Motor Museum, have a wander around the fine exhibits, maybe a late lite lunch then off home. Simple, but fine day out.
