Joyce and Ken Morrison from Parkview BC, Brechin are this year's winners of the Annual Hope Paton Mr & Mrs Tournament.

On one of the best days of the summer they came out tops in a twenty four couple entry Round Robin at the Hope Paton Green.

In a keenly contested final they were just too strong for Willie and Liz Pirie, scoring a three and a four early on in the seven ends final to give their opponents too much to do and the game finished in the sixth end with the score 9 shots to five for the happy Park View couple.

Once again the tournament was well supported by local club as well as bowlers from Newtyle, Fettercairn, Edzell, Brechin, Arbroath and numerous others from round and about. It was sponsored by Mr & Mrs George Norrie who presented the trophy to the winners.

A big thanks to all those who made this a very successful tournament, especially the ladies in the kitchen who ran out of bacon rolls early on and could have sold another twenty at least such was the demand!
