Congratulations to Dennis Baillie's rink who won this year's Holiday Fours against Harry Dunn's rink in the Final on Friday evening at the Hope Paton Green.
Dennis Baillie Skips To Victory
This year’s final saw Harry Dunn looking for back to back victories in the tournament, while his opponent Dennis Baillie was out to stop him by continuing his side’s consistent play and lift the trophy for his Inch team once again.
Dennis got off to a great start taking a 5 – 1 lead after three ends, but Harry hit back, and by the seventh end it was only 7 -5 to Dennis. The middle part of the match proved decisive ,with the Inch rink taking control of the jack and scoring seven shots from the next six ends. Leading14 – 7 with two ends to go It proved too much for Harry’s rink. They made a gallant effort by taking five shots, but it was too little too late, and Dennis’s team ran out worthy winners of this year’s tournament by fourteen shots to twelve.
