It has been a busy time recently at the Hope Paton green.

A number of competitions were decided in glorious sunshine, but more recently we have had some heavy showers interrupting events.      

 

Hope Paton Keith Trophy was a very close affair with new member Frank McGuigan partnered by Ronnie Murray , running out winners against Marian Newton and another new member, Jim Thomson, by just one shot.

Semi finalists were:- 

D. Grant / E. Warden  &  A. Rosie / G. Henderson

In the recent mixed triples event held over one day the eventual winners were Ann Knox, Bob Mutch and Jim Thomson.

The final was a one sided game with Ethel Norrie’s triple losing their way at the last hurdle

Eric Dickie Trophy was held in glorious sunshine and a number of good games were played on the way to the final.

The final was between Margaret Murray and Margaret MacCallum. On this occasion Margaret Murray ran out an easy winner winning the game 6 shots to win 1.

The Points Sweepstake, played for the first time last Saturday was won by Doreen Myles and Wull Hendry with a grand total of 79 points . Well done!
