Friday 1st November
Isabella, Maggie & I walked down to the Station with Stanley. Drove to Lewis with Maggie. Mr and Mrs Woodward & Mary dined here & Alice W. drank tea.
Saturday 2nd November
A bitterly cold day, it snowed. Drove to Lewes in the carriage with Isabella & Maggie.
Sunday 3rd November
Went to church morning & afternoon.
Monday 4th November
Meat of the foxhounds at Offharm[?] Gate. The Miss Bleucrots[?], Mary & Alice Woodward walked up to the downs with us. Mrs Mitchell & Georgie came over & rode up with Uncle, Polly & Isabella. Heard from E. Warre.
Tuesday 5th November
Wrote to Ellen Warre, Isabella & Mary. Walked to the Station with Uncle, Anthony, Isabella & Maggie. Uncle went up to London. Heard from Surtees. Guy Fawkes’ Day.
Wednesday 6th November
A wet day. Uncle came down from London.
Thursday 7th November
Walked down to the Station with Uncle, Anthony

Friday 8th November
Fanny, Laura, Adelaide, ??? & Mrs J. Mitchell lunched here. Went to see the church with them.
Saturday 9th November
Prince of Wales’s birthday. Clayton & Georgie came over to spend the day. Polly & I went to meet them at the Station. In the afternoon we went round by Romsey for a walk. Also Anna Tritton & Mrs Tritton came to lunch.
Sunday 10th November
Mr Sharpe preached two very nice sermons, he spent the day here.
Monday 11th November
Drove to Lewis, rained the court apart of the day.
Tuesday 12th November
A wet day. Auntie, Uncle, Polly & Maggie went to the Woodward’s. Had a very cosy evening at home.
Wednesday 13th November
Dear old Clayton’s birthday (25). We drank his health in champagne. A wet day. Read out loud in the afternoon.
Thursday 14th November
Polly, Maggie & I drove over to Brighton. We lunched at the Mitchells. Fanny, MissKives[?] & I took a walk on the Esplanade & went to Masons. They drove part of the way back with us. Had a jolly day.
Friday 15th November
Took a walk on the Cook’s Bridge Road with dear little Jesse & Emma in the morning. Manny & Willie Mitchell came to lunch. Had a game at Battledore. Drove to Glynde[?]

With Auntie & Isabella to call on the brands. They were out. Packed up my things.
Saturday 16th November
Lett Offham, Isabella, Fannie, Polly, Uncle, Maggie, Jesse & Emma walked to the Station. I had been there two weeks and had such a very happy visit. Left by the 11.15 train arrived at the Victoria Station at 1.15. drove to Millbank. Johnnie & Marianne Bramley were there. Richard took me home in the evening.
Sunday 17th November
Went to church in the morning, Mr Wright preached; in the evening Mr Snape did all the service. We walked to see our aunts in Sunderland Terrace. In the afternoon saw Mary & Charlie they walked to the end of the palace gardens with us.
Monday 18th November
Wrote to Maggie. Mary came to spend the day with us. We went in the town for some shopping. Charlie came to dinner.
Tuesday 19th November
We went to see the Bartrams. I stayed at home in the afternoon.
Wednesday 20th November
Wrote to Blanche ????. Went with Laurie Bartram to see Holman Hunt’s “Light of the World”. Lunched in Norfolk Square. Surtees dined in Sunderland Terrace.
Thursday 21st November
Heard from dear Maggie. Princess Frederick William’s birthday. Wrote to Isabella. Spent the day at the Arnolds. Went out driving in the afternoon. Went to see Georgie. Walked home with Surtees in the evening.

Saturday 23rd November
Laurie Bartram came to see us. Isabella & I went to the Queens Road to get my bonnets P. Went withapa in the afternoon to the Kensington Museum.
Sunday 24th November
Mr men did the whole service in the morning. Mr Snape in the evening. In the afternoon we went to Norfolk Square.
Monday 25th November
Lunched at Mrs kingdoms & took a walk in the afternoon. We went to Piccadilly.
Tuesday 26 November
Dear little Emma’s birthday, four years old. We took a walk in the garden, when we came back found Mary here. She lunched with us. We went to see Mrs Winter & the Bartram’s. I heard from Jane in the morning.
Wednesday 27th November
After lunch Isabella & I walked to the Arnolds. We called in Sunderland Terrace & on Miss Jenkins. Mr Groves, Mr Carroll & Mr Domville dined at the Arnolds. We had a very nice evening & we slept there.
Thursday 28th November
We went with Mary & Miss Arnold to the Soho Bazaar & Pantheon then returned home. Mary stayed the evening. Charlie also came & Chapman & Walter Bartram. We played at cards. Gloucester Square party returned home.
Friday 29th November
Wet day, only went into the town.

Wet day.
