Following some excellent displays in the reserves Chris Elliott rightly got the opportunity to deputise for the injured Linyard and absent Robinson. There was also a return to the  Ist X1 for Danny Ewen, and Bramham were able to include Clyde Wijnhard for the first time having secured his signature last summer.

The opening period was evenly contested with few chances, but it was Bramham who broke the deadlock after 26 minutes when Wijnhard latched onto the ball in the area and layed off a pass for Wright to crash home from 10 yards out.

Bedale were level 8 minutes from the break when a superbly taken free kick  flew in from 25 yards out with Lloyd left scrambling in the Bramham goal.

The second half followed the pattern of the first with both sides looking dangerous when they moved forward, but also vulnerable at the back

Bramham looked to have secured the tie when Wright was clumsely brought down on the 6 yard line for a stonewall penalty which the prolific striker readily converted.

The tie seemed to be all wrapped up for Bramham, bur as has been seen on so many occassions over the last couple of years, Bedale are a resiliant outfit, and they sent on danger man Marco who collected a fine cross field ball on the edge of the box and drove home low into the corner to level the match 6 minutes from time.

Bedale squandered several chances in  extra time and Bramham eventually won this tussle with goals from Wijnhard and Wright, the latter a brilliant solo effort resulting in a near post tap in.

Bramham still have their hands firmly on this shield which they won last year and now meet Addingham in next weeks final.
